In the Mission Field

God has given MFI a tremendous year!  Our three Douglas DC-3 aircraft provided air support to over 190 Bible-centered missions in the countries of the Bahamas, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic.  Here are some of the highlights of the past year.

bullet

Our aircraft and crews spent 2,000 hours or 340,000 miles "up in the air about our Father's business".

bullet

MFI averaged 5.1 flights per week!

bullet

We welcomed over 5,000 missionaries and passengers aboard our flights to Haiti, Dominican Republic, and Bahamas.

bullet

Our flight crews loaded and unloaded over 500,000 pounds of passenger baggage by hand.

bullet

Some 200 tons of essential cargo was airlifted to missions.

bullet

On average, our purchasing department filled purchase orders totaling $40,000 a month for missions!

Whether it is helping by bringing critical supplies such as food, clothing, car parts, and items unique to the ministries working in Haiti or the Dominican Republic, or providing a safe and convenient means of traveling to the islands -- the ministry of MFI is about people.

The following is a snapshot into the life of MFI and the ministries we serve.

Missionary Flights serves a wide range of evangelical groups working with the people of Hispaņola.  From planting new churches to teaching and discipleship of believers, from running Christian schools and hospitals to feeding the hungry in the name of Jesus; there are a great number of people who are spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ.  The following is a small pictorial of some of the work being done in the name of Jesus.

Medical work is a great need in Haiti, and there are numerous medical hospitals and dental clinics around Haiti sharing the Love of the Great Physician.

Christian schools and discipleship training are helping to equip the people to share their faith, as well as creating an avenue to meet the physical needs of some of the children.
