An MFI volunteer flew down to Haiti yesterday, and captured some exclusive photos & video of the situation on the ground at the airport in Port-Au-Prince.  The photos and video were taken at the MAF hangar, where all of our passengers and cargo are being off-loaded  The MAF staff is working tirelessly in Port-au-Prince to distribute the relief supplies to the mission community and has even brought in a special plane to do the job.  MFI is blessed to be able to work with Missionary Aviation Fellowship in this crucial hour.

MFI's N400MF is on its way to Port-au-Prince on Sunday morning, January 24th.

Preferred Airparts pilots Preston Huntting and Clifton Huntting (brothers) are seen in the cockpit of the Cessna Grand Caravan cargo plane (photo left). On the ground, James of MAF is operating the newly acquired MFI forklift to move cargo to the waiting trucks (photo right).

MFI's Turbine DC-3 is fueled for its return flight to Fort Pierce (photo left).  Though jet fuel is readily available for the Turbine, there is currently only a one day supply of avgas for the radial DC-3's.  Outbound passengers wait for their flight while using generator power to run laptops and phones (photo right).

The MAF Kodiak arrives in Haiti, reassigned specifically for distributing the relief supplies in country (photo left). The University of Miami has set up a large mobile hospital, with hundreds of doctors, nurses and support personnel on site (photo right).

The general aviation ramp at MAF is very crowded, including the largest aircraft seen here, a GulfStream IV that was donated to MFI for one round trip of medical relief (photo left).  MFI pilot Kenny Gumpel walks in front of the GulfStream on his way back to the Turbine DC-3 that he is captaining today.
