Epic Missions joined us recently to help with some service projects. Epic Missions has been around for 5 years custom designing mission trips for groups of all sorts from teams, colleges, and families. Founded by youth pastors, Epic Missions brings these teams/families to Missionary Flights to support the daily operations of our aircraft and support crew. They usually come for half a day helping with washing planes, packing food and medical supplies, organizing staging areas for flight support, working in the aircraft hangars, and much more.
This visit they helped take labels off of pill bottles. Pill bottles are vitally important in developing countries because, medicine – when attainable – is often dispensed in hands, pockets, leaves, or other available means. By cleaning and taking labels off of donated pill bottles the pharmacies in Haiti and the Dominican Republic can label and distribute medicine correctly. Corey is an Epic Missions intern who is back for her third visit to MFI. She was enthused to help in any possible way.
