Missionary Flights has been partnering with Missionary Maintenance Services (MMS) for many years. They provide maintenance services and prepare people to serve as missionary airplane mechanics. They train their mechanics using a thirty month hands-on apprenticeship program performing maintenance, modification, repair, and restoration of missionary aircraft.
Jenny is here all the way from MMS in Ohio working with MFI to complete her aviation mechanic internship. One of her jobs while here is making repairs on a replacement wing. When asked about some of the challenges of working here, she indicated loud noises and working in high places. Some interests included hearing about all the missions we serve, participating in our weekly devotions, and having a hands on perspective of how missionary aviation works. She loved being able to serve alongside our full-time mechanics and get a taste of what real-world mission aviation looks like.
