Remembering Ted Strickland

Ted is fondly remembered to hum the tunes of various hymns while sorting mail in the MFI mailroom.

On Sunday, June 23, 2019, Ted Strickland went home to be with the Lord. A Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Ted loved volunteering at Missionary Flights. Shortly after moving to the Fort Pierce hangar in 2006, MFI staff remember Ted walking through the doors to begin volunteering. He was dependable and found great joy in the time that he spent sorting mail into dedicated mail boxes for our affiliated missionaries.

Those who work in the MFI warehouse and mailroom remember that Ted came in as often as there was mail delivered…almost every day. He always said that he was only a “call away,” and would arrive within a few minutes of mail being delivered to the office. While sorting mail, he is fondly remembered as humming tunes to hymns. This added to the spirit of the work environment and has already been missed.

We’re blessed to have known and served alongside Ted. We ask that you please keep his family in your prayers as they prepare to hold his funeral service Thursday, June 27. An online guest book may be signed at www.haisleyfuneralhome.com.

The family wishes that memorial contributions be made to Missionary Flights. If you would like to make a donation in honor of Ted Strickland, you may mail (Missionary Flights International, 3170 Airmans Drive, Fort Pierce, FL 34946), call (772-462-2395), or give online**.
