May 2026 - Wing of Hope Champions

Missionary Flights recognized individuals who were living examples of how hope is carried, how lives are changed, and how MFI’s mission, expanding God’s Kingdom, was able to move forward.

Paul and Belle Romeus

Belle began her missionary journey as a nurse in Cordova, Alaska, where she often joked, “My patients weren’t interested in the Gospel, but as my patients, they were obliged to listen.”

After losing her home in an earthquake and fire, God led her to Haiti in 1965 to serve in a missionary clinic. In 1973, she married Paul, and together they embarked on an extraordinary ministry life that would impact thousands of lives.

What began with 20 impoverished children gathered in their yard grew into Drop of Love School, which today serves more than 2,000 people. Along the way, they established a church, an orphanage, and an elderly care center, while also planting 42 churches across Haiti during 36 years of service with Grace Missions.

After 52 years ministering in Haiti, Paul and Belle returned to Fort Pierce in 2018, but their calling to serve never slowed. Today, they continue faithfully serving through Missionary Flights by maintaining the missionary post office for more than 600 affiliated mission groups, teaching a Creole Sunday school class, and preaching at the Fort Myers Haitian church. Together, their lives as well stand as a testimony of enduring faith, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the Gospel.

About MFI

MFI is a 501(c)3 nonprofit. They are sustained by the generous gifts of individuals, companies, and churches. MFI pilots raise their salaries through personal support. MFI transports affiliated missionaries, supplies, and hope to the people of Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and the Bahamas. We serve as a loving and dependable link between those who serve “on the front lines” and those who support them with prayers and donations.
